Kings Factory Road bridge in Charlestown expected to reopen next week

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Commuters in Charlestown are being advised that the King’s Factory Road in Charlestown is set to reopen next week.

According to the Charlestown Police Department, the new bridge is in its final stages of construction. Guard rails were installed Wednesday and paving is scheduled to begin Thursday.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said crews are on track to have the bridge open to drivers by November 17.
