RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) -"I was pretty shocked – I was disgusted and I thought – well this isn’t good."

When Mary Amaral went to grab what she thought was a phone book in a bag at the end of her driveway, she was in disbelief to find ‘The Crusader’, a KKK newspaper.

Then she found out some of her neighbors got a copy, too – including Geri Mathieu.

"I had noticed they were in driveways of people who have either biracial families or…my daughter’s adopted"

Police say 10 houses on Sherwood Lane received copies of the paper and they believe it was random, not targeted, even though neighbors say this is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the town.

"Why this neighborhood? I’m hoping it was just a fluke. They’re living in fear and anger and I don’t want that spread to the kids around here."

Neighbors want those responsible to know that racism isn’t welcomed in their neighborhood, and they don’t believe in what the paper promotes.

"They don’t know us they don’t know that like – I’m the last one to be racist. Like I don’t believe in any of that I don’t believe anybody’s better than anybody."

"I don’t want them in my neighborhood but – I’ll pray for [them] because that’s no way to live."
