Kylee Monteiro murder suspect Groom to make court appearance
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The man accused of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend and burying her body on his Rehoboth property in August will appear in court Friday.
Gregory Groom is charged with murdering 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro after she was reported missing on August 7.
Her body was found buried near a shed on Groom’s County Street property on August 19.
Police and prosecutors said that Groom admitted to stabbing Monteiro to death on the property after an argument.
He was held without bail after his arraignment on August 21, and will appear today for a probable cause hearing.
