Lakeville fire results in loss of pets

LAKEVILLE, M.A. (WLNE) – On Friday around 5:50 p.m. the Lakeville Fire Department responded to a structure fire on 30 Howland Road.

At first, early calls reported a person trapped in the house fire.

The Lakeville fire engines arrived at the scene to find the home fully involved in the fire.

 

Fire crews quickly pulled numerous lines and knocked the fire down. 

There was no one home at the time of the fire.

Sadly, a dog and two cats were lost to the blaze.

Officials state the Red Cross was called in to provide shelter to the two adult males who lived in the home.

All crews were clear of the scene by 9:07 p.m. that evening.
