Lane closures begin on Route 138 Friday

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Lane closures begin tonight on Route 138 east and west between the Pell Bridge and the JT Connell highway overpass.  

This is while the state Department of Transportation removes and replaces the center median.   

Work begins at 5 p.m. Friday and ends Monday, April 8 at 7 a.m.
