Large brush fire spreads through woods off of Centerville Road

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Emergency crews battled a large brush fire that spread in the wooded area behind the Kent County YMCA in Warwick.

ABC6 News Crews reported from the scene that the fire happened far behind the building.

The YMCA did not have to evacuate.

The bulk of the fire was knocked down.

Fire crews remained on scene to search for hotspots throughout the area that might cause the fire to spread.
