Hundreds stood in line Friday afternoon, with high expectations for this years Rhode Island Comic Con. Organizers who prepare all year for this event say they won’t be disappointed.
"We have something for everyone. Whether you are into comics, movies, as you can see around. We have cars, we have toys, we have tattoos behind me," says Director Eric Couscous.
Before doors opened Friday, we got a sneak peak into the set up, where memorabilia, comics, show cars and exhibits have taken over the floor of the Dunkin Donuts and Rhode Island Convention Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience a dark thrill by stepping into the Hellevator. If you’re a fan of tattoos, the show floor will feature this ink-fusion tattooing pavilion, where fans can win a chance for a free tattoo designed by former President of Marval Comics, Stan Lee.
Each year the convention grows, even attracting an international crowd.
"We’ve got fans coming in from as far as great Britain. We have volunteers coming in from Colorado, from Delaware, as far as California so our name is getting out there. We are being known for Rhode Island," adds Fusco.
