Late Bugsy Stevens honored with last lap at Seekonk Speedway

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — The late Bugsy Stevens was honored at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday.
The former NASCAR Modified legend took his final lap, as his “Old Blue No. 3” car made the trip around the track where Stevens became a hometown favorite.
Growing up just one town over in Rehoboth, Stevens, whose real name was Carl Bergman, won the NASCAR Modified Championship three years in a row from 1967 to 1969.
Stevens passed away on May 20 at 90 years old and was honored with a funeral procession down to the speedway, where he won four track titles during his esteemed career.
