UPDATE: Late night stabbing sends one man to the hospital

PROVIDENCE, R.I – Police are currently looking for a suspect who was involved in a Friday night stabbing.

Police were called to 41 Herschel street, at 11:30 pm, where they found a man who suffered what appeared to be a stab wound.  

According to Providence police, the victim was in his car, having relations with a 24-year-old female. 

The suspect, now identified as a light-skinned Spanish male, in his mid 20s, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, flashed a light into the victims car before opening the door and stabbing him. 

The victim was sent to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. According to police, the he is in serious but stable condition. 

The victim has not been identified and the investigation is ongoing. There is no confirmed link with the suspect.
