Lawmakers to rally for Rhode Island tenant eviction protections at State House

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two Rhode Island state leaders will hold a rally to support two bills that would provide “just cause eviction protections” for state renters.

State Senator Tiara Mack and Representative Cherie Cruz will highlight their bills that would provide those protections.

The bills would restrict landlords from evicting a renter without legitimate reason.

Senator Mack submitted her bill last May.

The rally is at 3 p.m. in the State House rotunda.
