Lawsuit claims Beneful dog food responsible for dog deaths, illnesses

A new lawsuit claims that Beneful dog food might be killing dogs.
According to many complaints from across the country, the “common denominator” behind many dog illnesses and deaths was Beneful dog food, a Tampa lawyer told ABC News.
Nestle Purina, the company that makes Beneful, says that there is no problem with their product and that two similar class action lawsuits filed against Beneful were both dismissed.
Those behind the lawsuit filed this month say that more than 3,000 complaints against Beneful were filed in the last four years, and were made online by vets and pet owners to various law firms, the FDA, and attorneys general around the country.
According to court documents, Nestle Purina has until April 2 to respond to the complaint.
