PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A previously convicted level-three sex offender has been convicted for a fifth time on child pornography charges.

Patrick M. O’Donnell, 63, pleaded guilty on Monday April 15 in federal court.

O’Donnell was arrested back in July of 2023 after a sex offender compliance check revealed that his two cell phones revealed child pornography images.

O’Donnell was arrested less than a month after after being released from state prison following his fourth conviction on the same charges. O’Donnell is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court on July 29, 2024.

O’Donnell was convicted previously in Rhode Island state court on child pornography offenses in 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2020.
