Lifespan officially acquires Fall River and Taunton hospitals

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Lifespan has completed its acquisition of two Massachusetts hospitals, according to Lifespan.

Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River and Morton Hospital in Taunton are now in the Lifespan group, with more than 3,500 new employees being integrated into Lifespan of Massachusetts.

Lifespan’s winning bid of $175 million for the two hospitals was first announced on August 29.
