Lightning strike causes fire in North Smithfield

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Smithfield Fire Department said a lightning strike caused a fire on Rainville Avenue Friday afternoon.

The department said the fire was put out, and one person who was in the home at the time was able to get out.
