Lightning strikes Lincoln police headquarters, sends dispatcher to hospital
LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE)- A Lincoln police dispatcher was taken to the hospital as a result of a lightning strike during Saturday’s thunderstorms.
Police said that the department’s dispatch tower was struck and that the dispatcher was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The phone systems are still working, but the department is having issues with the radio system.
The dispatcher is expected to be okay and is doing well.
