Lincoln man accused of drug trafficking, storing cocaine and cash in mother’s home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Lincoln man is accused of drug trafficking, prosecutors said Monday.
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said 32-year-old Diego Osorio was charged with multiple drug trafficking offenses in Providence County Superior Court last month.
Last year, the state police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force launched an investigation into cocaine tracking in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
The investigation included several people, including Osorio.
Investigators searched his apartment in Lincoln, his mother’s apartment in Providence, which he frequently visited, and his 2016 Buick Lacrosse.
Members of the HIDTA task force saw Osorio leave his Central Street apartment on March 8, pulled him over, and detained him.
Investigators later found several quantities of cocaine and over $11,700 in cash in his apartment. They also found 935.9 grams of cocaine, over $1,400 in cash, and drug paraphernalia in his mother’s home.
Osorio has a pre-arraignment conference on Jan. 5, 2024.
