Lincoln police captain wins town administrator vote in special election

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE) – The unofficial results of a special election in Lincoln for Town Administrator were released Tuesday evening.
According to the unofficial results, Philip Gould, an Independent, won with over 63 percent of the vote. Over 2 thousand ballots were cast for Gould.
Gould currently serves as the Administrative Captain for the Lincoln Police Department. He has been on the force for 29 years.
The runner-up was Thomas J. Paolino, a Republican, with 18.8 percent of the vote, or 808 ballots.
