Linn Nursing Home in East Providence to close
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Linn Health and Rehabilitation nursing home in East Providence will be closing on July 20, 2024.
The decision was made after “unwavering efforts” to keep the facility open, and the non-profit nursing home filed its Letter of Intent earlier this week with the Rhode Island Department of Health to close.
This date of July 20 was determined based on RIDOH’s 60 days’ advance notice requirement.
The facility’s finances are cited as the key factor in its closing, as well as a pending 14.5 percent increase in Medicaid reimbursement rates that are expected to common October of 2024.
