Live Updates: Rhode Island 1st Congressional District special election results

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — ABC 6 News crews have been live from polling locations throughout Rhode Island for the state’s 1st Congressional District special primary election for congress all day Tuesday.

More than 10.5% of registered voters in District 1 came out to polling locations, according to the Rhode Island Secratery of State.

The results of the collected ballots as of 8:10 p.m. is as follows:

Republicans:

  • Gerry Leonard: 73.3%
  • Terri Flynn: 26.7%

Democrats:

  • Gabriel Amo: 35.4%
  • Aaron Regunburg: 23.5%
  • Sandra Cano: 13.1%
  • Sabina Matos: 8.3%
  • Stephen Casey: 6.6%
  • Water Berbick: 4%
  • Ana Quezada: 2.6%
  • John Goncalves: 2.2%
  • Allen Waters: 1.4%
  • Don Carlson: 1.1%
  • Stephanie Beaute: 1.1%
  • Spencer Dickinson: 0.8%

The results of the CD1 Primary Election are developing and will be updated as numbers are released.
