Monday began like most Mondays would at Healthy Heaven in North Providence.

But owner Thomas Thomaidis’ pink ensemble marks the start of a very special 365-day challenge.

"Cancer doesn’t quit so why do we?"

It’s called the Pink Out. He’ll be wearing a new pink item every day for the next year to inspire people to donate to any cancer organization.

"There’s gonna be a lot of people out there that are gonna donate money just to see me wear something absolutely ridiculous."

He’s not only wearing pink t-shirts and hats…he’s got everything from necklaces and earring to furry headbands – most of which are donations from people in the community.

"You know the saying everyone’s lost someone to cancer."

Tommy recently lost a close friend to cancer. That’s what inspired him to get the ball rolling.

"To see how strong she was during that whole episode gave me a lot of inspiration…she’s the one that put me over the edge to want to make a difference."

Shane Cronan frequents Healthy Heaven and says it’s a great idea, and it doesn’t surprise him that Tommy would go to this extreme.

"He’s always making himself the class clown…everyone loves him so I think that it’s a good thing he’ll probably raise a lot of money."

"If laughter brings people together I’ll keep doing this…I’m making fun of me for a purpose."

The Pink Out technically starts December 1 and runs all the way until December 1 of 2016.

He’ll be documenting his outfits each day on Healthy Heaven’s social media accounts.
