Local spirits producer donates 20,000 hand sanitizer bottles to first responders, hospitals
BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) – A Massachusetts wine and spirits distributor is doing its part in helping fight the coronavirus outbreak by making hand sanitizer for local front-line workers.
At M.S. Walker’s production and bottling facility in Boston, the company’s high-proof grain alcohol is now being used to make sanitizing solution. By Wednesday, a company spokesperson says, they will have made and distributed more than 20,000 bottles to local first responders and healthcare workers.
In a statement to ABC6 News, a company spokesperson says in part, “Whatever our production capabilities allow us to do, we will do to play a small role in helping our community survive and heal from this current life-altering event.”
