Local Help For Nepal

 By: Liz Tufts

The Nepalese community is helping raise money and round up items to help those in need, after this weekend’s massive earthquake. A local group out of Pawtucket has raised more than 7–thousand dollars since Saturday.

All of them have family over in Nepal.

They are grateful none of them were hurt, but they feel they need to do something to help. The set up a drop off location at 100 Lafayette street in Pawtucket and it’s already filling up with towels, medicine, food and more.

The group plans to head to Nepal in the next few weeks. Several airlines are bringing the supplies over for free.
