FALL RIVER, M.A. (WLNE–TV)— With one day to go before the royal wedding, the big question on everyone’s mind is what will Meghan Markle wear? Local stylist Anthony Palmieri is making his predictions.
Palmieri, a bridal consultant and store manager at Alexandra’s Bridal Boutique in Fall River thinks the American actress who will be princess already gave us a hint of what to expect. He says that glimpse may have come when she and Prince Harry released their engagement photos.
That black ball gown was by British designers Ralph and Russo. Rumor has it they will also be behind her wedding dress. Palmieri is prepared to be wowed, but says don’t expect this bride’s look to be traditional.
"Because she’s more millennial and young and this isn’t her first marriage—that she might kind of test her limits a little bit and I think we’ll be pleasantly surprised to see her maybe in something a little bit more form fitted, clean and a little bit more body con," he explained.
Palmieri also thinks Meghan might shock the world with her choice of color.
"Typically you’d think the bride would be in a white gown, but actually Kate was in an ivory satin dress. The Queen was in ivory silk. So they kind of determined that maybe she might be testing her limits a little bit. You might see a champagne undertone on her or also a blush pink to kind of really sauce things up," he said.
No matter what Markle walks down the aisle in, the duchess–to–be will inspire the look for future brides. At Alexandra’s, they’re prepared to meet the demand and try and copy her look for their clients.
