Melissa Murray lost her 8-year-old son Dorian; the little boy who captivated the world with his D-Strong movement, to cancer in March.
Five months after his death Dorian Murray continues to help others.
Mia Iannotti, owner of three dachshunds, Matilda, Henry and Sam, has a Facebook page dedicated to her dogs.
More than 60-thousand people follow their every move.
She took that as an opportunity to keep Dorian’s legacy alive.
“So I sold mugs with their faces on them,” Iannotti said.
She sold close to 300 of these mugs, totaling over a thousand dollars.
All of the money is going directly to the Dorian Murray Foundation, a foundation that helps other children battling cancer.
“If that page can do something good in the world it can give back to a foundation that is going to help sick children or anyone for that matter if it can bring smiles and help a good cause,” Iannotti said.
Dorian’s mom, Melissa, who now spends most of her time still spreading the D-Strong message thinks donations like this one, from complete strangers makes her realize how inspirational her son really is, even after his death.
