Longtime State Senator Lenihan passes away

Former State Senator, J. Michael Lenihan, has passed away Saturday after a battle with cancer.
He was a State Senator for 20 years representing East Greenwich,
Congressman, Jim Langevin, released a statement Sunday on Lenihan’s death,
“Senator Lenihan was an honest man and a charismatic leader who always put the needs of his constituents first. He was a fierce advocate for transparency and accessibility in government and his strong moral compass defined his distinguished career in public service.
