Lots of sunshine for this holiday weekend
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) –We have a Rip Current Alert through this evening.
If you enjoyed yesterdays temperatures and weather, you are in luck! Today will be a carbon copy of what we saw yesterday.
Please pay attention to the warning flags on area beaches.
DOUBLE RED FLAGS: Water is closed to the public.
RED FLAG: High hazard- high surf, strong currents.
YELLOW FLAG: Medium hazard- Moderate surf or currents.
GREEN FLAG: Low Hazard- Calm conditions.
PURPLE FLAG: Dangerous marine life present.
High pressure moves in and keeps all the storms and unfavorable weather much to the south of us.
Post- tropical storm Idalia moves off shore, but the European model has it making a left hand turn next Wednesday.
This could bring us some moisture to the area and some rain as we head into Wednesday and Thursday. (Still a little too far out to make a call on this.)
