Loved ones remember woman killed in crash on I-495
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — Friends, family, and colleagues are remembering a woman who was killed in a crash on Interstate 495 in Bridgewater on July 6.
74-year-old Lana Testa, of Mashpee, sustained fatal injuries after the car she was a passenger in veered into the median and hit several trees.
The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, was transported to Boston Medical Center with “critical injuries.”
In a Facebook post, “A Primitive Place,” a homestyle country magazine based out of North Dakota, shared that Testa had been a dedicated supporter and contributor to “A Primitive Place” magazine from the very beginning through her craft of making homemade dolls.
“We were in shock, I mean we still are. The whole Primitive community is mourning,” Kristine Berg, a publisher and editor at A Primitive Place, said.
Berg explained Lana’s dolls were in the form of bears, rabbits, witches, and prairie dolls, and each one she made she had a little story that went along with it.
Testa shared her creation on her Facebook and Instagram page via her handle @winterberryprimitives.
“Her passion and creativity left an indelible mark on our community,” the post wrote. “As a gifted doll maker, Lana brought joy and inspiration to many through her exclusive creations, each one a testament to her extraordinary talent and meticulous craftsmanship.”
“Lana’s dolls were more than just artistic pieces; they embodied her spirit, love, and dedication to the primitive arts,” the post continued. “Lana’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those touched by her work.”
The accident remains under investigation.
