New surveillance video from inside Macy’s in Taunton shows what happened when a deranged man went on wild rampage. On that tragic night last month, 28-year-old Arthur DaRosa killed two innocent people and sent several others to the hospital.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s office released the video amidst their ongoing investigation into the attacks. We have to warn you the surveillance video is graphic.

It shows a 65-year-old woman, helpless, as she was randomly punched in the face by DaRosa inside Macy’s in the Silver City Galleria. Just moments before the senseless attack, DaRosa smashed his car into the department store. Then, chaos ensued.

The video then shows Macy’s employees and customers hugging each other and rushing to the elderly woman’s side. She was sent to the hospital and thankfully okay. The disturbing video then cuts to another department in the store where customers are seen running for their lives. DaRosa was not far behind.

What the video doesn’t show is DaRosa leaving the store and entering Bertucci’s where he stabbed and killed New Bedford teacher George Heath and seriously injured pregnant waitress Sheenah Savoy.

It also doesn’t show his attack on Myricks Street before he got to the mall. There, he killed 80-year-old Patricia Slavin and sent her daughter, Kathleen, to the hospital. DaRosa was only stopped when he was shot and killed by an off-duty sheriff’s deputy inside Bertucci’s.

DaRosa’s family said he needed help and has pointed fingers at Morton Hospital where he was admitted the night before his spree of violence. The Office of Health and Human Services is investigating why Morton Hospital released him.
