Maintenance on Route 1 in Plainville

PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it will be performing maintenance on Route 1 in Plainville Thursday night.

MassDOT said that the work will take place between 8 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. and will aim to address flooding on the northbound and southbound lanes at the George Street intersection.

Detours will be required in both directions, and are as follows:

Traffic travelling in the northbound direction on Route 1 will be directed to take a right onto Route 106, take a left on Route 152, then follow back to Route 1 northbound.

Traffic travelling in the southbound direction on Route 1 will be directed to take a left onto Route 152, take a right onto Route 106, then follow back to Route 1 southbound.

Drivers traveling through the area should use caution and expect delays.
