Making a Difference: Kin restaurant owner Julia Broome explains significance of food in black history
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Continuing ABC6’s Diversity: Making a Difference interview series, Julia Broome, owner of Providence restaurant Kin, sat down with ABC6 Anchor Karah Bailey.
Broome was asked her view on the importance of food in black history.
“It’s all about us passing down generational recipes, and for us, food is love,” said Broome.
Kin has multiple events coming up, including the Kentucky Derby Block Party, their fourth year anniversary, as well as Juneteenth.
