Man accused of breaking into Providence home held without bail

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence man appeared in court Monday after allegedly breaking into a home last week.
The break-in happened on Pembroke Avenue at about 11 p.m. Thursday.
Residents from the Pembroke home told police an unknown man was found in their kitchen. Providence police later arrested 34-year-old Christopher James.
James allegedly stole jewelry from the home and was charged with burglary.
The 34-year-old was arraigned in Providence District Court, and was held without bail. He will appear in Superior Court at a later date.
