Man accused of breaking Read buffer zone to undergo competency evaluation

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — A man is under arrest Wednesday morning after getting too close to the courthouse at Karen Read’s second murder trial.

Judge Beverly Cannone expanded the buffer zone outside of the courthouse, and according to our Boston affiliate WCVB, Massachusetts State Police saw the man lingering and filming within the buffer zone.

Police said they asked the man to leave multiple times but he refused.

42-year-old Bao Nguyen of Woburn was arrested after being evaluated by emergency medical services.

Nguyen will undergo a competency evaluation today.
