Man accused of driving impaired in head-on crash that left 2 with serious injuries

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A man is accused of driving impaired after a head-on crash in Warwick left two women with serious injuries.
Police said a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Sienna minivan collided on Post Road at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The department said the minivan was heading south and crossed the double yellow lines, crashing into the Camry.
The women in the Camry were trapped inside when first responders arrived.
They were removed and rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. One of the women underwent emergency surgery for life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the minivan, a 37-year-old man, was arrested for suspected DUI.
Police brought him to the department to be charged.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
