FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Foxborough Police Department said a man was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence on Dec. 27.

Fred Mandracchia was charged with operating under the influence – drugs, possession of a class B drug, kidnapping, intimidation of a witness/police/court official, threat to commit a crime, leaving the scene of property damage (multiple counts), failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, defacing property.

According to police, officers were notified of a vehicle “being operated erratically through town.”

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver allegedly did not stop, causing a police pursuit “involving reckless operation and numerous traffic violations,” according to police.

Police deployed stocks sticks twice during the pursuit, eventually stopping the vehicle in a residential neighborhood.

After the vehicle had stopped, police allegedly saw the Mandracchia “lighting and smoking from a glass pipe believed to contain crack cocaine.”

The defendant was arrested and charged.
