Man added to most wanted list in Massachusetts for shooting that killed unborn baby

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police named a third suspect in a shooting in Holyoke last week that killed a pregnant woman’s unborn baby.
The agency said Wednesday that 28-year-old Kermith Alvarez is on the most wanted list for a murder charge in his alleged role in the shooting last Wednesday.
Three men were believed to be involved in an altercation that escalated to gunfire. A pregnant woman on a bus was hit by a bullet, which claimed the life of her unborn child.
The other two suspects were since arrested.
Alvarez is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and about 230 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Police said he may also go by the alias Kermith Vargas.
He is actively avoiding authorities and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call state police at 1-800-KAPTURE — 1-800-527-8873 — or call 911.
The death of the unborn child is being prosecuted by Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni.
