Man arrested after suspected narcotics found in West Greenwich motel room

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — The West Greenwich Police Department said a suspect was arrested after police found multiple suspected drugs in a rented motel room.
According to police, the department searched a Super 8 motel after the man who was renting it was being investigated for potentially selling and distributing narcotics.
From the search, police said they seized suspected cocaine, crack/cocaine, and methamphetamine, as well as $1,014, several pills, and other paraphernalia.
Police said the suspect was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I-V controlled substances and held without bail at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.
The seized items will undergo toxicology testing by the Rhode Island Department of Health, according to West Greenwich police.
