Man arrested, charged for allegedly stabbing two women in Warwick
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was arrested in connection to a stabbing involving two women in Warwick last night.
Officials said the Warwick Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at 857 West Shore Road around 11 p.m. last night.
Upon arrival, they discovered two adult female victims inside the residence in need of medical aid, each had sustained multiple stab wounds in various locations of their bodies.
The suspect was quickly identified as 59-year-old Albert Sanders Jr. attacked both, leaving the scene prior to police arriving.
The two females were transported to the hospital with significant injuries, but are now in stable condition.
Sanders was located in Providence and arrested without incident.
He was charged with:
• Two counts of Domestic Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in a Dwelling House,
• One count of Domestic Assault by Strangulation,
• One count of Driving without Consent of the Owner,
• One count of Domestic Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order,
• Driving without Consent,
• One count of Domestic Disorderly Conduct,
Sanders is scheduled to be arraigned later today.
