Man arrested for allegedly dealing fentanyl in East Bridgewater

EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — The East Bridgewater Police Department said that two men from Brockton and Duxbury were arrested for an alleged drug transaction.

24-year-old Deandre Rodriguez of Brockton was charged with distribution of a Class A substance, trafficking fentanyl, possession of a Class B substance, and conspiracy to violate drug law.

The 32-year-old Duxbury man was charged with possession of a Class A and conspiracy to violate drug law.

Police said an officer was surveying an alleged drug transaction in an unmarked car around 3 a.m. near the Carriage Crossing Shopping Center.

Another officer then responded to the area, and detained both parties.

During a search of Rodriguez’s car the officer allegedly found 43.2 grams of Fentanyl, 1.4 grams of Crack Cocaine, packaging materials, and a large amount of cash.

Both men were expected to be arraigned in Brockton District Court.
