ATTLEBORO M.A. — A man was arrested Tuesday evening in connection to a stabbing on Halloween night, during what officials say was a marijuana deal gone awry.

Authorities say 26-year-old Justin Adams, with a last known address in Brockton, was arraigned in Attleboro District Court on Wednesday and was ordered to be held in jail on $100,000 cash bail.

According to Attleboro Police, on October 31st, 2016 they received a call reporting a teenager had been stabbed in his upper left arm.

Upon arrival the teenager told officers he had arranged to buy marijuana that day with a man he only knew as “Justin,” and while riding in the car on what authorities called a ‘blunt ride,’ the victim was stabbed.

The victim also stated that there were two other passengers in the car, and before being stabbed by Adams, the teenager was assaulted and robbed of a gold necklace, his cell phone, and wallet containing a debit card and $2,000 in cash.

Police say the victim was able to escape the vehicle, and sought help from a man out trick-or-treating with his daughter; asking him to call 911.

The victim later identified Adams from a photo line-up, and Adams was arrested Tuesday night.

He will appear in court next month, facing charges of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping.
