Man arrested in Wareham stabbing

The Wareham Police Department responds to a stabbing incident where a female was left injured.
Police responded to Onset Avenue on May 1 at 9:20 pm where they found a female victim with a stab wound to her upper stomach area and says she was assaulted by a male.
The 29 year old female victim from Wareham, MA whose identity is not available, was transported to Tobey Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Michael Ainsley, 48, of Randolph, MA was arrested at the scene. He is being charged with Assault with intent to Murder.
Ainsley was also taken to Tobey Hospital after receiving a non-life threatening head wound possibly during the incident.
This case remains under investigation.
