Man attacked by 2 people with machetes in Putnam
PUTNAM, C.T. (WLNE) — The Putnam Police Department said that a man was attacked by two people with machetes on Friday night.
The attack reportedly occurred around 10 p.m. around Smith Street and Daniels Street.
Police said the victim told them that a white man and a black man struck him in the ankles with machetes before taking items from him and fleeing.
A K-9 team from the Norwich Police Department responded and conducted a search for suspects.
The department added that the victim suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to Day Kimball Hospital before being transferred to Hartford Hospital.
