Man charged in fatal 4-car crash in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Lakeville Police Department said a man has been charged in Friday’s fatal four-car crash.

73-year-old David Delorenzo of Lakeville was charged with motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of liquor, and speeding, among several other charges.

Police said the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Main Street.

A passenger in one of the other cars, 75-year-old Richard Reed was declared dead on the scene. The driver of Reed’s car was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Delorenzo was taken to the hospital and then charged after his release.

He is being held on $10,000 bail and is expected to be arraigned Monday.

Police added that one other driver was taken to the hospital and the fourth was treated at the scene.
