Man dies after falling through roof in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A construction worker has died after falling through the Rhode Island Food Bank roof.

This incident took place at 10:43 a.m. Monday morning where the 50-year-old New Bedford man, Scott Simons, fell 40 feet down through a hole in the roof.

He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are still investigating this incident, but there is no additional information at this time.
