Man ejected from vehicle after rollover crash in Dighton

DIGHTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Dighton Fire and Police Departments said a 19-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being ejected from a vehicle.

The departments said the crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 7 near the intersection of Tremont Street and Lincoln Avenue.

The car appeared to have driven through a stop sign at the intersection at a high speed, and then veered off the road, struck a tree and utility pole, and then rolled over.

The passenger who was ejected was transported by medflight to Rhode Island Hospital, while the female driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
