Man hit by car Thursday night in Providence has died

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man who was hit by a car Thursday night in Providence has died.

Police confirmed the 73-year-old man died at the hospital Friday.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Doyle Avenue.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said the person driving the car stayed on scene and was being cooperative.

No charges have been announced.
