Man hospitalized after crash involving motorbike and pickup truck

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A 36-year-old man on a motorbike is in the hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a pickup truck.

The Warwick police said the crash occurred this afternoon at the Main Avenue and Sharon Street intersection around 3:44 P.M. today.

Police said the man on the motorbike was not wearing a helmet and obtained serious injuries from the crash. The man was stabilized and taken to the Rhode Island Hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck was a 42-year-old man, police said he did not leave the scene and is cooperating with police.

The crash is still under investigation, but police said that “speed” does not appear to be a factor.
