PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that a man was injured after a bus driver wouldn’t let him on due to him allegedly being drunk.

The intersection of Charles Street and Randall Street was blocked off with crime scene tape at the RIPTA bus stop.

Police said the man was not allowed on, and as the bus pulled away his leg was caught in the rear wheel and he suffered a serious injury.

A stopped bus was surrounded by the tape and police were seen speaking to RIPTA officials.
