UPDATE: Suspect, vehicle sought after Central Falls hit-and-run

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are searching for the driver and vehicle that struck a 27-year-old male and fled the scene Wednesday night.

Central Falls Police said the vehicle in believed to be a dark colored Audi A4, with a model year ranging from 2009-2012.

Around 8:35 p.m., authorities responded to Higginson Ave, for the report of a pedestrian struck, and upon arrival found the victim lying in the road with several witnesses and bystanders rendering aid.

The victim, described as a Pawtucket resident, suffered severe injuries, and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing for the suspect vehicle and driver.
