Man killed after car strikes house in Pawtucket

Pawtucket Police are investigating after a man was killed when his vehicle crashed into a house Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. when it appears the operator of the vehicle lost control and became airborne, striking the curb and a tree before hitting a house at 133 Sayles Avenue.

The operator, 22-year-old Zezito Andrade of Pawtucket, was extricated by the Jaws of Life before being transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses tell police the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident.
