Man killed in fatal motorcycle crash in Tiverton

TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Tiverton on Sunday.

The Tiverton Police Department said 27-year-old Michael Lees of Westport died in the collision on Route 24 northbound around 5 p.m.

Police said a caller reported that a man was unconscious and bleeding from the head with no pulse after the crash near Exit 4.

Responding officers found a heavily damaged Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the road.

Rescue crews took Lees to St. Anne’s Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed that Lees hit another vehicle resulting in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation, per Tiverton police, who are asking the public for any information on the incident.
